For some reason no website sells shuriken to CA. does anyone know a way around it, or know one that DOES sell here?

That's because they are illegal to sell in CA. Same goes for throwing knives, nun-chucks, cane swords, and a handful of other cool weapons.
The only way I know around it is eBay, but even then it could be traced and they could make you turn it in and pay a fine. The reason eBay gets around it is because in theory these are individuals selling these items and aren't covered under the law stating that no business may sell or distribute them. However, ownership is still illegal here. You can go to NV, AZ or any other state that allows them, purchase them and bring them home, but again you may face legal problems with them but then it's less traceable.
