Even though Vista should be recalled, that would never happen with a software product. There may be class action suits, but Microsoft will answer it with a service pack. Too many loopholes into the legal system, when it comes to software.

If there were a recall, it would be on never news channel and newspaper headliner. It would make it front page on every newspaper.

I seriously doubt they are recalling Vista. I've checked the internet and there is absolutely no information on this. The media would have a heydey with this.

The problem with Vista is it is new - manufacturers haven't had time to develop drivers yet (XP drivers don't work with Vista). Remember when XP first came out? Same issues. Now everyone loves it.

There will be patches, and system upgrades but it won't be recalled. 5 years from now something new will come up and everyone will be complaining about the new one on the block and hailing Vista.

Personally I have Vista and LOVE it. It came already installed on my new laptop (Toshiba). No problems whatsoever and some really cool features. It's extremely user friendly and the graphics are amazing.

I don't recommend upgrading immediately if you have an older computer as you will have to change all your drivers for your peripherals (printers, mouse, keyboard, games, etc.). Wait 6 months for new drivers to be created.

Hope this info helps.

If they recall it, you'll be notified by the company and they'll give you specific details. I never run right out and buy the latest operating systems. I give them a year or two to work out the bugs first.

I do that with most of the new products on the market, but especially the electronic ones.
