If you read the previous chapter on into the begining statments of the sermon on the mount you will learn that it was not ment for Non-Believers... so one must conclude that non-believers will not understand the serman on the mount as Christian followers of Jesus would... these things are evidant when you see the reactions of the pharacies...
If you do not understand the truth its only because the truth is not in you... the only way to truth is threw Jesus Christ... once you have him in your life all things are open and understanding becomes a regular part of your being...
in other words.. you speak of which you do not understand... i pray that you will one day come to the truth threw a different lense and realize truth when you see it...
thank you...

I hear more in the babble of a brook than the sermon on the mount could ever tell me.

Well, my guess is that it would have to come from evolution after the person delivering it spent 40 days reading Zarathustra and Buddha. If you read those guys, it is natural to select some of their best writings. Thus, natural selection.

Quite easily. It wasn't exactly new or unusual moral teachings. Jesus said nothing unique. All his deific ideas were plagiarized from Mithraism and Khemeticism, and his moral ideas were typical fare for the Mediterranian (sp) area.

If we are so complicated that a God had to create us, then isn't the creation of a god that much more complicated? I mean come on!!! This is basic logic!
