keeping in mind that Calico is just a color not a breed of cat, if your domestic cat is a female than it will instinctively go after mice. Males generally will not. In the feline world females are the hunters and this trait is carried down the line to even the domestic female house cat.

you do not prefer a kitten youthful than 8 weeks - any youthful is purely too youthful to be removed from the clutter and mom. verify your close by shelters. Kitten season is coming - interior a month or so the shelters might have various calico kittens.

You'll find when she gets older, she'll start stalking the mice if she hears them. Female cats are mostly, by part, the hunters. I had a himalayan female that would ambush 'em. Then she'd brign 'em to you to see her prize. Then.....she'd play with 'em til the poor things would fall over dead...lol

I guess so. Cats like to pounce on everything that is swishing and moving. We never seen Phil, our cat, catch mice - except cokroaches.

Yes, especially if it is a kitten. They love to chase, so you can bet it will be after the mice!

Most will stalk and attempt to catch a mouse when they see one. A very pampered and aristocratic few will not even know what the critter is and may even run away! I have seen it happen!

Most cats do, but I've had a few that were too lazy to bother. It all depends on the personality.

oh yeah! most predatory animals, including some dogs, will catch the mouse! we find humor in our cats methods! go kitty go!
