I have lost 35 pounds so far, but am at a standstill. I would like to lose 15 more pounds. I am 5'10 " and I have a small build. I bicycle to work 3 miles each way M-F. I work out 4 days a week, two weight training classes, 1 cardio class and a running class.
I stopped eating desserts although I do eat frozen yogurt occasionally, I gave up bread , snacks except popcorn and soda. I usually drink a bottle of water and a low calorie yogurt for breakfast. I usually have fruit or cheese for my mid morning snack before I go work out and then for lunch I eat fruit and vegetables, sometimes cheese, natural peanut butter on celery, etc. Dinner I stick to meat, poultry or fish and a vegetable. I do have sugarless candy now and again. What am I doing wrong. I can't seem to lose that last 15 pounds. I don't snack between my many small meals. I have lost inches and I've kept the weight off, I just can't lose that last 15 pounds...Help!!!

Where to start? Well I guess that I better tell you that I have lost 70 lbs since last May, and I want to lose another 100 lbs. I am going to succeed, and you are also. The hardest part of losing weight is the desire to lose, you have it and so do I.

You are doing a lot but remember that if you have been doing this over a long time it has become common place and no longer is going to have the same effect as it would on me. I am not telling you to stop that would be foolish but it would have a greater effect on me. Remember the muscle weighs more than fat.

One pound is 3500 calories and at 5'10" you should be eating some where around 2000 calories a day to stay the same weight. If you consume less than the 2000 calories then you are going to lose weight. I eat between 1600 and 1800 calories a day, I have a very good reason for eating that many calories a day I want it to go and I don't want it back, so the slower that I lose the better my chances are that it isn't going to come back. losing fast will create the YO YO effect and you will gain it right back fast and a little bit to boot.

I eat pretty much what I want to but I do count my calories, and just as important I count my Carbohydrates. An exchange (Diabetic ) equals 15 carbs. I limit myself to less than 28 exchanges a day. I also try not to consume reg. sugar, but remember that carbs. are sugar.

You are going to hit plateaus, stay in there they will pass, don't become discouraged. I am at one of those myself right now but I know that I am going to reach my goal, good luck, congrats on what you have lost and stay true to yourself
