Pilate was the one who presided over Jesus trial. Jesus was also sent to Herod.
Pilate was recalled to Rome to face charges.
I'm sure that man or group of men, their names are recorded somewhere.
Considering that Pilate was considered a myth up until a few decades ago, the name of the man on men at his trial may yet be found on a stone tablet in Rome or some other collectors artifacts.
