Cat Litter and Vingar?

Question

Is it true that if you pour vingar on cat litter, it starts a fire?

i dont have a cat so i kinda cant try it. my friend said they heard it in a Wal-Mart training video or something.

Since most cat litter is clay, mixing it with vinegar isn't going to start a fire.

I use vinegar to remove pet smells when the kids have accidents and have wiped the litter boxes out with vinegar water before and have yet to have a fire.

As for the Wal-Mart training thing, I have a feeling some one is pulling your leg. Wal-Mart has been known to use litter to clean up oil spills though.

Nah. Be reasonable.

Cat urine is an acidy. Vinegar is also. Don't ya think if this were true, what we use for litter wouldn't be sold as such?

I've heard people say vinegar eliminates the smell of cat urine a kitty has an accident. Perhaps you've confused something in relation to this.

I really don't think so. I have never thought of trying it. I use my cat litter for my cats and I clean and cook with vinegar. I would have not reason to try it

I doubt that very seriously. What would cause it to do that? And I worked for Walmart for 5 years and watched many training CBLS and never saw such a thing.

Neither cat litter nor vinager is flamable.....so the answer is NO!!!! If you put gas on it and through a match on it it would...but just vinager and litter with no flame.....highly unlikely!!!!!!
