It is very important that you change him b/c drinking milk while sleeping could lead to cavities. Try diluting the milk at night and use regular amounts during the day. Then, slowly dilute it more & more at night so that he will notice that milk during the day tastes much better! Also, make sure that during the night, the lights are dimmed with no noise or activity, but during the day, there is music/tv/activities that will keep him interested while he eats.

Is this formula or regular milk. At age one the baby should be drinking regular milk and not formula. I would worry about getting solids down him instead of milk or formula. That way you know he's getting nutrients.

My son wouldn't drink milk from a bottle for the longest time, he was breastfed. So I decided that he needed to like the taste of the milk in order to switch. We put in a couple of drops of "pink", The strawberry nestle quick stuff. He loved it and now anytime he wants milk he asks for "pink". We don't put the pink in it all the time, but he began to like to drink milk.

You want to be careful about feeding your child when they are half-asleep. Babies don't swallow effectively when they are asleep and you don't want the milk to sit in their mouths. My aunt's son had the same problem and he developed very bad teeth as a result. His first tooth was as black as midnight and rotten. You MUST take charge of the situation; setup a regular schedule for feeding and try not to deviate from it.

patience and persistence please. mix the formula and offer it every 3hrs. this is the start. take note of what's consumed and time. after 72hrs you'll have a fair idea of proper and optimum feeding time and quantity. at 1yr maybe some semi-solid food can be introduced and with this, a few tspns would do
