Many people thought the world was going to end the year 2000... however, the mayan calander is very interesting... many things are based on that calendar... the mayans are very smart people... they invented so many things...

WILL THE WORLD END?

Many think with the nucular testing in North Korea and development of world wide wepons of mass destruction that the end is comming...

something to consider--we have had nuculear testing before and we have used nukes before however, WE HAVE NEVER HAD THE AMMOUNT OF NUCLEAR ARSENAL THAT WE HAVE NOW...

We now have the capacity to devastate existance. If one nuke is launched then that could cause a retaliation that would be deadly...

What do i believe?

I believe that Iran is developing way too much for comfort... I believe that these nukes are designated for Israel and the US... thus the words of the Iranian President...

I believe that there is a push for a one world government and this calendar could give us an indication to a time of new beginings--a new kind of world where calendars are not needed... a new one united technology that is something to be feared...

I believe that the time is comming near... if you do reasearch on the Mondex Chip... and if you do research on the georgia guide stones... and start putting the pieces togeather you can start to get a much clearer picture of things to come...

I am a Christian and I believe that every piece of the puzzle may draw us closer to the events described in the book of Danial and Revelation... these things are very possible...

I believe that the world MAY or MAY NOT end in the year 2012 however, 7 years of tribulation is a short time... the rapture very well could happen soon... these things very well COULD happen before 2010 let alone 2012...

thank you...

Please research the Georgia Guidestones... just do a google search and you will see what I mean...

these things are really happening...

The Mayan Long Count calendar DOES NOT END. On 12-21-2012, the 13th Baktun begins.
So the world isn't ending either.

It is true that statistically we see cycles in nature. Since humanity is natural we also see cycles. However, much more evidence is needed to prove the reliability of such prophecies. The problem is that by the time we do this research, 2012 will be upon us. I am anxious to see what will happen.

The Mayan prophecies do not predict cataclysm, only great change. So, the doomsdayers might just have to wait some more.

Many people throughout history have predicted the end of the world, they were all wrong, so here we are.

The chances the world will end in 2012 are about the same as it ending next Tuesday, unless someone in the human race does something stupid, which is entirely possible.

Remember Y-2-K? The computer calendars all ended at the end of 1999. The world did end, we're all in eternity already. 2012 is just in our imagination, just as this forum is.

I heard of that meteorite that is supposed to come closer to the planet than the moon is, in 2012 but I don't think that we only have 5 years left, then again only God knows when the end of our days will come.

Don't think so. I've been hearing people say different year's for many year's and it never was the end of the world. So that is why I do not htink its the end of the year.

I doubt it. Many dates and times have been set for the end of the world and none of them have come true. Jesus will return like a theif in the night and the end will come when people least expect it.

Does a specific date really mater if you are busy doing God's will?
I will leave those important issues to him since he alone can read hearts and has his own time table.
I will be thankful for what time I have to bear wittiness about this Great and Holy Name and to help others come to know him so they too can live forever on the Paradise Earth that God has promised.

The folks at Family Radio believe the Final Judgment and Second Coming of Christ will be in the fall of 2011.

For example see the book “Time Has an End” on line at:
http://www.timehasanend.org/public/en_time_has_an_end_cont.html

This group, whose primary teacher is one Harold Camping, also believes the Church Age has ended in 1988 and believers are to come out of the churches as they are now under the control of malevolent forces now that the Tribulation has begun.

See the book Time Has an End, Ch. 10:
http://www.timehasanend.org/public/en_time_has_an_end_ch10.html

That said, the online audio lectures at Family Radio, are illuminating and worth a listen:
See: http://worldwide.familyradio.org/zusa/english/connect/audio_archive/echoes/frame/download/download.html

Finally, for the offline version of the Family Radio nightly call in show, where folks ask questions about the bible to Mr. Camping, see:
http://worldwide.familyradio.org/zusa/english/connect/audio_archive/forum/frame/

I am not endorsing Family Radio’s doctrines, but one is able to learn quite a bit by listening to these materials.
