You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

Go to: http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?Refby=616165&Type=auto

Take care,
Casey

It doesn't matter where you live, it is going to be expensive for you to insure a vehicle. True enough, where you live (city vs country), type of vehicle (sports model vs small economical one), how many traffic tickets you have gotten and if you have ever had an accident before all come into play. But you are still in a "high risk" group no matter how you break it down. If you are male then things just got even worse. There is really no such thing as average so you must shop around. Don't be surprised though if you run into insurance companies that don't even want to give you a quote. Discrimination is alive and well in the automobile insurance industry.

If this is your own car, your insurance can be anywhere from $0-$1500. If this is a family car (your parents own) you are automatically insured. It all depends on the amount of cars per driver. Example 2 parents, 2 cars =as many drivers in family are insured in the cars. If that changes to 3 cars that car has to carry its own insurance on the owner, so if that is you it will be pricey even with good grades. Remember the insurance follows the car.

Mine would have been a a little over 200 dollars. I had a '94 Ford Ranger and lived in Florida. I was put on my parents because it ended up being a lot cheaper.
