Low pressure brings clouds, rain, cooler temps & R pushed by the Polar or Southern jet stream. Low Pressure is always a storm, cold front or a hurricane & the rotate in a clockwise motion. Low pressure also brings pain to people with certain conditions. Once the low passes, High pressure moves in. Sunny skies, wind & higher temps. High pressure doesn't rotate. A high pressure (the Bermuda high) can & does help in the steering of a hurricane. There is always a high between a low pressure. http://www.weather.com can help you better understand this. Pollution level is lower after a Low has passed, it blows it out with the warm weather.
