I need a small device which you can wear on your belt or round your neck that rings or beeps when a lanline phone it is wirelessly connected to is ringing. It needs to have a fair range of wireless operation if possible. Do these devices exist? Please post links to products.

The problem is we cant use a wireless phone because of the hardware used. All we need it for though is an alert to say when the phone is ringing so the secretary can get back and answer it if she isnt at her desk.

Buy a "baby monitor" at any baby store. Put one end next to your phone, take the receiver (monitor) with you. When the phone rings you will hear the ring. (This is similar to a parent hearing the baby crying in his/her room).

If you buy one with camera, you can even check if the secretary is at her desk!

All you need is a wireless phone with a belt clip. It will ring when a call comes in on the landline. Bonus: you can also answer the call!
