Unfortunately, that's the vicious cycle of domestic abuse. The female thinks she deserves it and it willing to "correct" the problem. But she doesnt realize that there is nothing she can do that will make him stop. You have to continue to be there for her. Her self-confidence will diminish over time. Pretty soon she wont be able to hear her own inner-voice telling her "this isnt right". She needs to get help immediately. The sooner the better. There are so many resources to call upon in a situation like this. Keep talking to her. Make her know that she doesnt DESERVE ANY OF THE THINGS HE'S DOING TO HER!! Pray for her safety! This task may only be accomplished by GOD, the Almighty! Stay Strong for yourself and her!

Never! She needs to report him to the police! It is a criminal offense. He may say those things to her but does he really love her if he keeps repeatedly beating her for no reason? Let her know it is not her fault. If you have to do it, call the police and leave an anonymous tip. She shouldn't stay in this abusive relationship. Tell her no man reserves the right to physically hurt a woman, no matter what.

NO......it is never okay for anyone to beat another and it is also against the law. She should get out of the relationship immediately. Next time it happens maybe you should get the police involved. You might lose a friend but you also might be saving her life. Which is more important to you?

Absolutely NOT!!! This is a typical abusive relationship. He abuses her physically and mentally and then tries to make everything better, so she will not leave. He is making promises he will not keep and if your friend stays in this relationship he may hurt her badly or kill her. She needs to break the cycle and leave for good. It is not her fault and his mental abuse is the reason she believes this. You do not beat or demean the ones you love.

GET HER OUT!!!!

This is not okay! She needs conseuling and perhaps even protection. Tell her parents, and anybody else in an authority position. Call the police to report domestic abuse or assault and battery. He needs to be stopped before he seriously damages her, physically, emotionally and psychologically.

This is not her fault, and a beating is NEVER okay!

Obviously it is not OK, but some people seem to enter into abusive relationships time and again and it makes you wonder if that's what they are really comfortable with. Sounds like a horrible relationship.
