I am almost positive compensation will have to be made for any of the recalled food-related deaths. I think I also heard something about it on the news today.. I don't see any reason why they wouldnt reimburse your vet bills, but i honeslty think they need to do more than that for the people that have lost their pets due to this :(
this is all so devastating to me. i'm honeslty sooo so sorry about your cat. i hate that this is happening. Good Luck with your other cats I really really hope that theyre are ok. you should come back & update us! I couldn't imagine losing my baby...
please dont feel like you poisoned them, you are doing everything you can, and that is awesome, there are some people wouldnt even take their pets to the vet
....sorry i couldnt give you any helpful info. i just had to post something cause this recall thing has really been upsetting me and i cant even imagine how this must be for you.
good luck w/everything.

call your pet food company directly. They'll take your information and will be able to tell you what to do about your vet bills. You may have to join the line of suits. You can google pet food recall and the link for menu foods is in all the articles. From that link you can get your own company number if you don't have it. I'm sorry about your cat. I lost two late february, before the recall happened. I hope your cats recover because the grief of the loss of mine is huge.

I am sooo sorry this tragedy has hit you and the poor kitties are suffering. I am so MAD too becuase we trusted these pet foods. Anyway, there are several groups mounting a class action suit. One of them is MenuFoodsClassAction@yahoogroups.com
You ought to report your case to the FDA too - they want to know. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!!
Pet Connections.com is also gathering data of pets that have fallen ill or have died becuase of the recalled pet foods.
A representative of Iams said that Iams will be compensating; bu I do not know about Walmart (Special KItty) or the others.
My advice is to register with one or all of those groups who have been victimized by this recent petfood recall. You'll know what to do from there.
Again, my heart goes out to you.

Sorry, i've got not heard something a pair of cat nutrition bear in mind. i might propose which you attempt feeding your cats organic nutrition, which includes eggs, tuna fish, mackerel, uncooked rooster, and so on., after which you will not might desire to project approximately contaminated puppy meals. we've a kitten and a canine, and the two are fed a organic nutrition plan, and that they are the two very healthful and happy. Plus, it even costs under those costly yet stupid commercial petl meals that declare to be "organic" because of the fact they incorporate grains and greens. How ridiculous! Cats and canine are carnivores, not omnivores. My house complicated borders a cornfield, and that i've got yet to work out a cat or canine run out to the cornfield to reap themselves some corn...in the event that they are out interior the cornfield, that could be a helpful wager they are after the mice, not the corn! The issues puppy nutrition businesses attempt to ruin out with!

No one knows anything yet.. They still claim they can't find the problem thru testing, and aren't saying what they might do if they are found to be in the wrong.

Consumer Reports should be able to help, either that or try the place where it was puchased.
