Repentance and Faith. Not just saying an empty prayer, but repenting from sin and putting our faith in christ.

You have to remember that God sees your heart, more than listens to your words. One can not fool God. If a person said a prayer or went to an alter call, with their heart toward God, then yes that person would be a child of God. We cannot fool God, He reads our hearts like an open book. That is why it is good to ask God to help create a clean heart.

God knows what is truly in someone's heart. If they are accepting Him into their heart and asking forgiveness for their sins God will forgive them and they will be saved. If someone does it just to say the words, no, it will not happen that way. If you truly accept Him, you will feel Him begin to work in your life.

When this person prayed, if they truly repented for their sins and asked God for forgiveness, and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they would go to Heaven.

If you really do believe it in your heart that you are saved because you asked Jesus into your heart, accepted that He died on a cross, was buried and resurrected, then yes, you will go to Heaven. God does not look at the outside, He looks in our heart. Live for Him. God Bless You!

Yes. It is so easy, that it seems impossible. As humans we think that we have to be religious or good. Not true, God wants us to come to Him just as we are. Jesus did the work for us by dieing in our place for our sins. Just accept Him as your Lord and Savior and repent. He will teach you what you need to know.

Words can be meaningful and sincere OR they can be empty and an attempt to con. God sees your heart and knows the intent of your words. He knows whether you are simply reciting some words or truly desire to accept Him as Lord and Savior of you life. Your desire is what will bring God's salvation, not the words.

No, they have to really repent of their sins and ask the Lord to forgive them, and mean it with all their heart and then live for Christ.

Just saying the prayer does not assure your salvation, you must truly believe it in your heart, and truly repent of your sins.
