Take the Olympia Express Bus directly from the airport to Penn Station. It leaves every 20 minutes, 6 am - midnight, and every 30-60 minutes, midnight - 6 am.

You can take either NJ Transit or Amtrak, cost $14 for adults but you don't run the risk of a traffic jam. Trains leave approximately every half hour.
