i am so obsessed with this guy i like him soooooo much... i dunno if he knows i like him or likes me back... his signals are mixed... what can i do.... I cant stop thinking about him and i NEED to get work done!!!!!!!!

Bite the bullet. Ask him out for coffee and tell him outright - "Hey, do we have some chemistry here, or are we just good friends? I'd hate to be giving you mixed messages and it feels a bit confused now...?"
If he likes you, great! If he's embarrassed and doesn't feel the same way, shrug it off with a relieved "Phew, thats cool, because I thought things were going to get weird..." and get him out of your head.

If you like him, you should talk to him. Get to know him as a friend first. Think of it as friends first only. If you get to know him, you may not want anything else out of him.
You don't want someone that already sends mixed signals. You want someone who can be a man and tell you if he likes you and would like to date you or get to know you and see where it leads.?
When people "obsess with others", it tends to make them think of them more of as someone as on a pedestal and then they are let down when they see them for who they really are. Try to see him as a friend that you would like to get to know if you want to date him. He may have things you don't want in a man. He may not be a gentleman that you want him to be, or something or someone who you fantasize him to be. Think reality and friends first. You really want to be friends first anyway when it comes to having a quality relationship down the road.
