I know that this would not be selling your dress, but if you wanted a tax write off you can donate your dress for Breast Cancer. Brides Against Breat Cancer has a Nationwide tour where they sell donated dresses and the money goes to Breast Cancer Research.

Again, I know that this is not selling your dress and it won't put money in your pocket right now, but I thought it was a great cause and program

Here is the link for more information

Contact the other bridesmaids and ask if they are interested in selling their dresses, too. If you offer 5 dresses at a price per dress, you can get more. There may be a bride out there that can figure out how to use all the dresses and you will get much more money for them than selling a single dress that really isn't good for much except a neat Halloween costume.

www.freeweddingclassifieds.com
I don't know how many people get the newsletter from www.fireyourweddingplanner.com but she always puts in a plug for freeweddingclassifieds.com .
I've also seen tons of people post the info on a bridal message boards. Responses seem to come pretty fast if there is someone looking for the particular dress.

Consignment shops. Local shops will charge a fee or take a percentage of the sale price to sell your items for you.

See if you have a consignment shop in your local neighborhood. Here in San Jose, CA we have a clothing consignment center called "Our Secret". Check it out.
