This man, accepted as the father of perhaps the greatest nation in the history of the world proclaimed:

"Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor... "

Who is of good report? The little YAhoos that compose the endless little diddles and quibbles here or the one that penned:
"Bless my family, kindred, friends and country, be our God and guide this day and forever for His sake, who lay down in the grave and arose again for us, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. "

"The father of this nation wrote:
Bless O Lord the whole race of mankind, and let the world be filled with the knowledge of Thee and Thy Son, Jesus Christ...I beseech Thee to defend me this night from all evil, and do more for me than I can think or ask, for Jesus Christ's sake, in whose most Holy Name and Words, I continue to pray, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.... "

Who would you believe? This man or silly little quibblers, having no rational knowlege for what they believe?.......... only a vile and disturbed heart.

Silly little lady,
I'm only saying that he acknowledge that there IS a God. I don't have time to chase your trial of self-justification.
I'm just saying that, if I did'nt already believe in God; I would believe THIS man, with HIS integity, before I would believe you yAhoos who say there is no god.
ALL other issues are different matters within themselves. Peace. Be happy.

Certainly George Washington was an important and honorable man, but everyone has something important to say. There is no need to compare who's words are more worthy to be heard. Believe that if G. Washington was here, he would listen to everything you any of us had to say and give them his up most attention and respect.

That's kind of funny because the same man signed the treaty of Tripoli

Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion...

Ok, G -Washington also owned slaves...Is that ok for us too?

His religion was hardly made clear.

Silly little man. You have listed no sources that confirm G Washington even said that stuff. And the one justifying is you, picking and choosing what G Washington said and did, that you would like to believe in.

Since I cannot find any mention of George Washington in the Bible, then under the standard rules of protestant theology, I must assert that George Washington never existed.

Not every person knows every thing. One is well advised to carefully consider what has been said whether it is George Washington or we little quibblers.
And thank you, Your Grandioseness, for illuminating my day.

How 'bout Jefferson:
"I have recently been examining all the known superstitions of the world, and do not find in our particular superstition (Christianity) one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology."

Now you don't have to answer every question with, "Because the Bible says so."

You can say, " Because the Bible, and George Washington says so."

He was also the chap who said, "The United States is in no sense founded upon Christian doctrine."
