Because maintaining a consistent diet keeps your metabolism from lowering. Thats why cutting down on calories is not a good idea, because when you start to deprive your body of food, when you start to eat again your body stores everything you eat as fat. It goes into survival mode and it becomes a fat storing machine. So if you want to get fat I suggest you stop eating for like a week but drink only water then start eating alot of fast food, mainly McDonald's. The way to stay skinny though is to eat a big breakfast of a lot of fruit, whole grains, and fish. Grapefruit are great at speeding up your metabolism, so eat as much of those as you can. If you are fat though and have been yoyo dieting there's a great chance that you've confused your hypothalamus gland which regulates your metabolism and apitite, among other things. What you would have to do to reset it is go on a juice fast for about 30 days. It can only consist of real fruit that has been squeezed or from just eating them. Bananas shouldn't be part of the fast, they are high in carbohydrates. I'm not saying you don't need them I'm just saying you could go without them. You should consume natural fruits that include grapefruits, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, apples, grapes coconut, wolf berry, pineapple, oranges, and watermelon. It would be best that these fruit came from a organic food store for the best results, because mass produced regular store bought fruit is know to not be as beneficial to your health as organic fruits will; yes there is a difference. I hope this helps someone anyway it's late and im tires im about to go night night. And I didn't copy and paste this from a website this is just information that i've read and learned.
