Hi. A relative of mine is in charge of a decommissioned soviet sub base and is looking to sell on some of the junk. I am not a scientist and don't know plutonium from uranium, but have always wanted to build a home power plant, so I dont have to worry about electricity bills. I posted a similar question a couple of days ago, and was told this was almost impossible, as building a reactor in a one bedroom flat is probably impossible, unless your Mcgiva, and I am not.

However. I have been assured that I can get loads of weapons grade uranium at a next to nothing price. He wants to move to south america and just wants enough to buy a villa. I doubt it is a scam as he is a close relative and I know for certain that he works there.

Someone advised buying the stuff and selling it on at a later date. All well, but where would I sell? I don't know anyone who knows anyone that will be interested in weapons grade uranium and I can't exactly sell the stuff on ebay can I? Story of my life:(

Did you make up that fantasy all by yourself? It is very low grade fiction (not weapons grade).

Very funny. However you failed to recognize that the uranium used in a nuclear submarine power plant is a different isotope than that used in WMDs. Not very efficient to use as weapons. Then there is the whole containment thing to deal with. You should probably pass.

1. It is not weapons grade uranium / plutonium. Spent fuel from a fission reactor would have to be processed to achieve weapons grade.
2. It's illegal to own anyway
3. You would die within weeks of your first exposure, and your neighbors would too.

Although it's pretty obvious you're a spoof, it is my prediction that you are going to learn a lot more than you want to about government datamining, the No Such Agency, and various provisions of the Patriot Act.
