I was planning on just getting a daybed frame will it attach to the twin frame? I just read somewhere that I must have the daybed link for this. I do not want to get the optional trundle for underneath, I only want a frame for my twin.

My daughter has a day bed and no box spring is necessary. If you do not want the trundle option, that is fine, we dont have one either. But it is great storage space.
I am unsure if you can attach a regular twin bed frame to it, but from the looks of it, you probably cannot. Good Luck with this. :)

If you are buying a new daybed, it will have everything as far as a frame goes, with it. You don't even need the box spring from you old set, just the mattress.

I've never seen one that "attaches." If I were you, I'd make one. You can use plywood and stencil out a "cut-out" of the shape you want. I once made a head board that was a white washed picketed fence. That was adorable! I made toddler day bed frame that was shaped like a sheep for my son's farm decorated bedroom!

I used a regular twin boxspring and matress for my daybed when I was younger.
