Fear. dating someone who could possibly die forces that person to realize how short life can be, and most people are afraid of facing that reality.

Because most people are selfish and their love is not strong enough to want to stay with a cancer patient.
Its tough being with a cancer patient. I have taken care of a cancer patient before and its really not easy. The last few mths of her life was terrible. You practically see a person wasting away. She gets thinner and weaker with each day...and after she died, you're left with a hole in your heart and left grieving for her.

b/c they are afraid of death and don't want to deal with the suffering that cancer brings. most ppl know someone with cancer so its hard sometimes.

Because people don't want to get involved with people who might die soon. It's less pain to go for someone who is not in immediate danger.

it's really hard to date someone, fall for them, then have to watch them get sick and leave you becuase they have cancer. it IS insensitive to leave someone just because they have cancer, but at the same time, it's really painful for people to love someone who could die at any time.

I personally would have trouble with it because what if they died? I would have to be in pain the rest of my life about it.

I suppose it's because they have no hair. I think it's just another form of racism.
