call the passport office.I had not received mine either 3 days before i was going, and they issued a new one and overnighted it,and i received it in time, the day of my flight,i was very nervous needless to say,but they would have taken care of it at the airport if nothing else..They were really nice about it.The only thing you have to do is to send back the other one if its already been sent out.You can also pay extra when you are in a hurry to expedite it.Happy travels.

Sorry, but you were cutting it very close to apply Feb 1 for a passport. The law changed this year (and next year it will be even MORE restrictive) so passport applications are much higher than usual.
If you have a US passport office anywhere near you (not the post office), you can bring in the application certification, your airline travel ticket or document, and new passport photos, and you may be able to get a passport in hand in 1 day, for a fee.
Otherwise, check out this expedite process.

Good luck

if it hasnt arrived by early next week, contact them and ask them to issue you with an emergency/ temp passport.this takes 2 days.
if u applied in feb, u should have received the passport by now, so its probably lost, normaly doesnt take so long.
