I was just wondering if her milk will just dry up on its own or is there something that I can do to help it go away. She is doing fine and eats well and is back to playing and things, but she still has milk and I think that her teets are sore and they are still swelled and drooping and they are hard. I have never been through this before. My Mom always took care of iur dogs at home and I just wondered if there is something that I should be doing.

I highly suggest that you have your girl checked out by your vet since there was a problem with the litter. It is never overcautious to have the female checked out after a litter to make sure nothing is still inside to set up infection. Also, he can check her teets. There is a shot to help dry up. Problems can develope if they become fevered.

There may have been a reason pups came early and you would not want to risk her health. Better safe than sorry. You would not want to risk breeding her again if there is a problem.

You should cut back her food and water so that she won't produce any more milk. If they are bothering her and are HOT and seem very sore and red, then you'll need to take her to the vet. If they are just warm and filled with milk, try a nice warm damp towel and it helps to relieve some of the pressure

How sad about the puppies,i am so sorry.A 1st time pregnancy?
I would take to the vet right away, yes there is an injection for this.
Better safe than sorry, especially the chance of breast cancer later in life for all ***** dog's.
Do the right thing please!

Awww... that is so sad about the pups. Cut her back on her food. If she eats more, than more milk will produce. I would leave her alone for now. If you see if it gets worse, or hasen't changed, talk to the vet about it.

Yeah, it will go away on its own.
Takes about 2 weeks to completely go away, but it will be better in 5-7 days.
Please have her spayed. She is not a good candidate for breeding.

How old is your dog? When dogs get bred too young they frequently have problems. Also, don't Pugs usually need a C-section?
