what can they use as evidence to search you? this is for specifically Alberta, Canada

If you are acting "baked" the police cannot search your person because they have no "probable cause" to do so, however if you smell like pot that gives them probable cause and can search you if they feel it is warranted to do so. Just so you are aware, it is almost legal (meaning you cannot be arrested) to have an ounce of marijuana on your person (all in one bag though and not in smaller bags) and if caught with the marijuana the most the officer can do is confiscate the pot from you-no charges. I lived in Alberta for several years and was told this by several different officers on several different occasions.

Why subject what human beings think of you could clarify what exceeded off. i'm unsure what the police can do yet elementary experience tells me that in case you have performed not something incorrect or in touch wherein includes your companions mum no they are able to not seek . Goodluck

Yes they can search you. One of my uncle's a police there and he said they use the smell sense and they may ask other people if they smell it or not. If you want more answers from my cousin e-mail me.

i know here in ontario they can not search you if they smell the pot, and if ur acting baked, o well all they know is that u could be a little messe up in the head.

First of all do you live in Canada. 2nd do you do drugs because your asking this ? Think about this for a second.
