What's the best and fastest cure?

I heard meds tend to mess your stomach up and makes it create more acid to replace the stuff taken away by the pill in the first place, so when you're not taking meds for it, your heartburn's worse. hmm.

You should talk to your doctor for medical advice, as taking anybody's word for it in a public forum such as this is potentially dangerous.
There are many medications that are safe and can give you good results, but thats really a question you and your doctor need to work out.

I take Zantac when I make mistakes eating Italian food, or tomatos or spicy food I like so I know that after eating, I have to take a Zantac. Even if I make a mistake in the middle of the night when I have a reflux attac, I run to take my Zantac and eventually, around 15 minutes I am okay.

Yet, but as you say, you have to be careful. Zantac is okay but as always it may not be good for your liver (your liver, not the beef liver).

I have never heard of that but I know Gaviscon (spelled wrong I believe) works pretty well. It comes in chewable tablets and liquid it keeps the acid down where it belongs. The best thing you can do is watch what you eat and drink. Avoid smoking, coffee, sodas, spicy food, onions and everything else that may bother you. Try not to eat and then lay down and sometimes it helps if you elavate your head.

Drink a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. It may seem like adding acid would make it worse, but it's a natural cure, and it may taste a little bad, but it will really help, I assure you!!! P.S. Do NOT take prescription pills!

Foods to avoid

Some foods are not easily digested and can prompt bouts of indigestion among susceptible people and this results in acidity and heart burn. Avoid pickles, fried foods, hot spicy foods, chocolate, pastries, and raw salad vegetables like onion, radish, cabbage, and peppers. Cut down on alcohol since it increases stomach acidity, strong coffee and tea can cause irritation and fizzy drinks can produce wind. Unripe fruits are high in pectin, which is hard to digest so it has to be avoided.

Precaution

Do not eat just before going to bed.
Avoid irregular and hurried meals.
Stop smoking and cut down on alcohol.
Follow yoga or some exercise to reduce stress.
Drink plenty of water.

Causes of Heartburn
The most common causes of heartburn are overeating, and eating meals that are predominantly acid-forming and abundant in unhealthy fats, spices, and commercially processed foods. Heartburn can also be caused by low levels of hydrochloric acid (HCl), deficiencies in the body’s production of enzymes, poor adrenal and/or spleen function, and/or diminished liver function due to toxicity. Hiatal hernia, stress, or smoking, can cause heartburn, as well.

In addition, food allergies lead to poor digestion which can also contribute to heartburn, as can combining too many different types of foods at the same meal. Heartburn can be brought on by drinking excess fluids during mealtime, eating too fast, or eating in a stressed environment. Heartburn can also be connected to constipation, similar to a backed up septic system. In this case, the body can have a difficult time digesting and processing the food coming in, if the previous meal is not going down and being eliminated properly.

Best of health to you
