Oh man! Can I just say I feel this one down deep to the core.
I think the one thing people do not understand about believing in something is that questioning one's own beliefs is a good thing. When we question and can come to positive conclusions, then we can experience a deeper understanding about the things in which we believe.
I am a follower of Christ, and I would like to say, my sister, I can sense, even not knowing you, that you have a good heart; a heart that desires to do what is right and good and noble.
Now come the difficult points, the hard to swallow tidbits that everyone hates to confront, but sooner or later thy have to be hit head on.
- The Christian life is not easy. Christ said we would be persecuted for his sake. You're not alone, you have brothers and sisters who would love to help.
- We can't worry about impressing anyone. Be who you are, Christ does not want to change who you are, but He may want to work a little on what you are. Who describes purpose; what describes personal lifestyles.
- One final truth, according to the Word of God, it will not get any easier. But a counter truth, you've got God on your side, and He is the best to have on your side.
"And the things of earth shall grow strangely dim/
In the light of HIS glory and grace."
By HIS name, keep on keepin' on.

There is now therefore NO condemnation. I know how you feel, but remember, when we put ourselves down, we aren't doing the will of God! God accepts us as we are, and NO ONE is perfect.
I understand what you're saying though. Well you identified one way already! Read your Bible more. The Word of God is the will of God! The more you focus on that, the more you will live out God's will for your life. Also, speak the Word! God is always reminding us to speak Scripture. These are Words of Life! We can be giving LIFE to other people! Don't worry about what other people think. I have a couple different friends who are always quoting Scripture and talking about God, and they are some of the most popular people in their school! God bless you honey!

I mean honestly I want to live my life completely for Christ,
when you said that -well it is just awesome to hear that!
God hears & sees your heartfelt desire.
Ps 37:4 says;
'Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.'
A couple of things that would help you to stay closer to the Lord,
Well, Are you active in a youth group at your church. If you don't like it there, I'm quite sure their is no rule in seeking out one that suits you better!
No matter what age, we all need to have christian friends & enjoy our life going out with them or staying in!
I know it isn't 'cool' & makes it harder if your popular in the cool group but doesn't your highscool have like a christian group of sorts that gets together at lunchtime.
You said you feel like your always trying to impress someone.
Did you know that you don't have to please anyone but the Lord! -Thats all that counts in the end & from your post I would say that is exactly what you want to do.
There is a wrist band you may have heard of. It has written on it W.W.J.D. (acronym)
The question to ask yourself is as it reads;
What Would Jesus Do!
You go girl!

The Christian road in life ...( to serve the lord and others..etc) is not an easy one hon. ( few are they that find it)
Wide is the road to destruction, narrow is the road to heaven.
* that's a whole new subject!!
The fact that you even care and want to do right is great, and God knows your heart, just keep that mentality in life.
Read the Bible every day and talk to the Lord about anything, you will find then that pleasing Him is easier to do.
Don't listen to others that boo-poo you for wantng to do good, that's their problem if they think your too goodie or whatever.
Your on the right path, just keep on keeping on, you will be a much happier girl, and filled with peace. ( a very nice gift for those that seek Him...:)

Young lady, I'm praying for you. Below is a Christian college that will give you so much support in following Christ that you will never regret it if you were to consider going to this college when you are older. I promise you that you will find Christ working in your life here!
There are quite a few young people there that are only 16. The reason is, because home schooled kids seems to finish HS earlier than most.
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you[Jesus], than he that is in the world[satan]." 1 John 4:4
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you." Philippians 4:6-9
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3

Well God Bless your heart! You have already improved your life my dear, by turning away from things you know in your heart is wrong. Every christian feels that way from time to time, no matter what your age. But, I know it's probably hard to see right now, but it's actually a good thing. Because we should ALWAYS want to improve our self and do more for Christ. The day that we don't feel that way anymore, we're in trouble.
The christian walk is an every day challenge, so to speak. God challenges us to grow, to be bold, and become strong in Him. And to be perfectly honest, nothing in this world can even compare, to what He's done and been through for us. When you start feeling that way, just pray and ask Him to show you what it is He wants you to do about whatever it may be. Pray before you get to school, or wherever you are going,pray for strength, in whatever you might face each day.
Remind yourself of how much He suffered, and how hard it was for Him. Imagine all the pressure HE had. If He can do that for us, being spit upon, and beaten, under every kind of insults and laughter, and attack, and accusation under the sun. and still carry a heavy cross up hill on his back, we can surely do all things through Christ, that He asks us.
Just tell yourself, that, "this too shall pass",and just endure it, for Christ, that maybe through your patient endurance, some one else might be saved. You never know what God may have instore later on. And you want to be ready. He may be preparing you for something, sometimes you don't even realize it, until later on. Till something happens, then you go, oh, ok, NOW I get it.
Just follow your heart and know that emotions and feelings change, sometimes from one day to the next, or from morning til afternoon. Sometimes, it's nothing more hormone changing. Just know that all is well, and He knows what is best. Sometimes, simply removing yourself from a tempting situation, is all it takes. If you keep hanging around there, where the temptation is, it'll only get stronger, and be harder the next time to turn away.
What I like to do, some time during the day, is find a quiet place ,by myself, and just spend time with Christ, just be with Him, in His Presence. Be still in your heart and in your mind, and just worship and adore Him. Thank Him for everything. And then just be silent...... just listen, and He will teach you.
That's the best thing you could ever do for Him-It glorifies Him, He WANTS you to talk to Him, and bring all your cares and worries to Him. Thats what is meant by making Him' Lord,' in your life. Lord, Over all things, in every area. And know that while all kinds of things may be going on around you, that you know are wrong, you can always pray for those people in your heart. And know that He is with you, wherever you go, no matter where you may go, wherever you are, He is ALWAYS right there with you........ just a breath away!

you sound fine politically. but if you want to develop a better relationship with God, I suggest you talk to Him ore, listen more and read the Bible more. No Good relationship exists without communication.
I don't know your situation, but here's some advice....
1) learn to see things differently than non-believers do. what is a non-believer? a potential Christian. What is a gray area? non-existant (mataphorically, speaking of sin). should we hate people, even the wickedest of them all? no: hate sin, not the sinner. love your neighbour as yourself, love your enemies and pray for those who spitefully use you. WWJD?
2) try being the light. we are like light and salt: we expell spiritual darkness and preserve that which is in moral decay. if something is wrong, P.U.S.H. (pray until something happens).
and being social is a good thing. just as long as your friends don't influence you to do wrong. cutting them off isn't always the best idea, as salt needs to be applied to affect the meat. so party, but don't drink. joke, but don't slander. be angry, but sin not.

Pray, read, obey. its that simple. If you feel like your not doing enough, try and figure out where you are lacking. chances are you are like a lot of Christians and are lacking in the area of evangelism. Where were given the Great Commission for a reason, and yet only 2% of the church in America today actively shares their faith with others. that is to say that the other 98% is either locked in worship, or they just don't care about the fate of the lost. For more information on how to share your faith Biblically, and effectively the way Jesus did, go to http://www.wayofthemaster.com and/or http://www.livingwaters.com

You could use your popularity to bring people to Christ. I'm 17, and I can sort of relate. My friend group is very religious, though, so it is easier for me. I have one regular class (not AP) and in it, it is much harder to stand out as a Christian, since there are so many more pressures. Prayer is a good solution and daily Bible readings are also good.

I know how rough it can be in high school and trying to live a good life. Everything is added stress not wanting to be alone but still being able to live like you should. Look to God and find some good Christian friends. Check your email.
