Run Windows Media Player, go to Tools > Options > File Types > Select All

Click Start > Set Program Access and Defaults > Custom > Then scroll down until you see "Choose a default media player"

First Click: Set program access & defaults, then click Custom, then choose media player, then Windows Media Player...done.

depends what wmp you use, look in tools options. or file types check all. uncheck file types in other players you dont want them to play. wmp will play them if you tell it. or get rid of the other players.
