he was in the army in in ireland in 1941 and died in a road accident ive tried afew sites but no joy,please help if u can

You could try http://www.interment.net/ - I'm not sure what it's like for Irish cemeteries. Are you sure he was buried in Ireland? If he's buried in a war cemetery that could be a little more difficult. Actually this site MIGHT help http://www.cwgc.org/ - it's good for Australian records, again not sure about other nationalities.

The best thing to do, contact the Irish Army and see if they can tell you where and exactly on what date the accident occured. They might even be able to tell you where your grandfather was buried, or at least in what town the accident occured. Then get in touch with the local churches and ask them to help in tracking down your granddads grave site. If all is in vain and you can manage, try to personally visit and start asking questions.
