I have specifically two very good friends who just as i are very religous but see i want a ouija board and they think they are evil and demons will posses me if i use one is that true? and would it be wrong to get one without them knowing and use it with another friend who would help me? I'm just really curious and i don't want them to be mad at me!

Caution: Read Deuteronomy 18:9-12

"There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs DIVINATION, a practicer of MAGIC or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, or one who binds others with a SPELL or anyone who consults a SPIRIT MEDIUM or a professional FORTUNE TELLER or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah your God."

arc: Participation in the Ouija board religion does not automatically qualify you for "demon possession". I do know people, who have used an Ouija board in a seance and had "something bothering me at night" - as an after effect of their escapade. The Ouija board was initially, a tool used in Occult practices of the past. BUT; a better question for you might be: Why would I even, want to chance it? If you decide to go forward with your decision to indulge in the Ouija board, at least have a plan to seek the help of someone who can rid you of any problems which may arise. You have to make up your OWN mind and your friends need to respect your "right to be wrong".

Wow. You seem young. I will assume you are. You have religious beliefs. Why? Isn't it better to make an informed decision, rather then a forced"becasue my parents told me to" brainwashed since birth decision? Ouija board is in no way a religion, perhaps has pagan roots, however, wouldn't it be nice to know all about other practices before you fully commit yourself to one religion? I am Luthren, was confirmed all that ****, but now that I am older, I know to see all sides of the story, rather then just one.
If you feel the need to experiemnt with a ouiji board, do it. I did. Pleaty of times. I nor any of my friends came close to being possesed. Its fun, itll freak you out, youll scream a little. I beleive its just energy. People will say, "I didn't move it!" Subconciously everyone is moving it a little, from energy. Do you really think your "religious friends will be angry?" Thats not fair. And that will be their prblem. There is always ommisive lieing that wont hurt anyone. I say do it! Live on the edge. Just know that its not real, unless that is what you want to beleive.

Do this first. Take slips of paper with the alphabet on them and put them in a circle on a smooth surface. Place an upside down glass in the middle of the circle. You and a friend put one forefinger on the top of the glass and ask a question. See what kind of results you get. If you're satisfied, buy a OuiJa board.

Remember, there is no craft in this or the Ouija. These tools only magnify that which is in you.

Opening a door to the spirit realm that you can't close (and most people who use Ouija boards have no idea of how to do so) is just a bad idea. You have no control over what might decide to take you up on the invitation.

I don't think you'll summon a demon or any such thing, but honestly, if human spirits exist after death, do you want to have just any Tom, Dick, or Harry showing up to talk to you? That would be like randomly phoning a pool hall and asking to speak with one of the guys playing the tables. In short, pretty pointless.

My advice is to save your money.

As I understand the Bible, there are only two sources of supernatural intervention, namely, the power of God or the power of Satan. The word of God clearly condemns the use of all occultic practices or methods of supernatural guidance or power (see Deuteronomy 18:9-14)
Incidentally, I am told that the movie, The Exorcist, was based on an actual case history, although certainly over dramatized and not holding true to the actual case. The actual case involved the demonic oppression of a young boy who came into his unfortunate state through the use of a ouija board. I am not making this up just to scare you. Demons are real. Thankfully, so is the Spirit of God and the Authority of the name of Jesus.

I don't know this for a fact, but I have read of a couple of instances where some pretty bad stuff happened to people after they were messing with a Quija board. I think it is possible to open a door that you won't be able to close, and it is best not to mess with things that you don't understand. When playing with one, you are inviting spirits in, but you have no control who answers . There are some very evil people in this world, so I assume that there are evil spirits, too. I wouldn't take the chance if I were you. Sequence and Balderdash are both fun games., and alot better way to spend your money!

A ouija board is just a piece of cardboard with letters, words and numbers. It comes with a little plastic pointer, and if it does anything, it's because someone is moving it.

If there were such a thing as the spirit world, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to make contact with it via a $20 piece of cardboard you bought at Wal*Mart.

From personal experience...leave them alone. I was never possessed but it let something into my home. I would wake up at 4am knowing something was watching me and I couldn't move. The only way it went away was when I got rid of the Ouija board and still it took a few years for it to go away completely. Yes they really work but you don't want to get involved with whats giving you those answers.
