Of course, you always need to visit a dentist when you have a toothache. Preventative maintenance is the best course, but if the tooth is hurting, sometimes that's too late.
That said, call your dentist tomorrow and see if you can get a prescription of antibiotics called in to take until you can get an appointment. Antibiotics kill the pain quicker than anything. Keep your head elevated above your heart and take 800 mg. of Ibuprofen every 6 to 8 hours to help relieve the pain.
I hope you feel better soon!

Besides going to the dentist and taking pain relievers: You can dissolve a baby aspirin in your mouth on the spot that hurt. Baby aspirin taste better, regular aspirin/ibuprofen work but taste nasty. It will take away 99% of the pain for a few hours.

go to the dentist and find out what is causing the toothache. pain meds are great but don't solve the underlying problem.

since you don't give more info, it's hard to determine if you have a bad tooth, an abscess, a sinus infection, mouth trauma, etc. treat the pain with advil or tylenol or ice, brush & floss regularly (and well!), and see a dentist or urgent care.
