Everyboddy is always saying someones else is fat.
How do you know your fat? There is no actual limit to make you fat.

now days it seems that if you can't see your own rib cage sticking out then you are fat..

Body fat can be measured. A man should be anywhere from 10% to 16% the rest would be lean mucsle mass. If your over 16% you could be considered on the obese side. A woman has a higher body fat count before she's considered fat. A woman should be in the range of 12% to 18%, any more than 18% and she would be starting to get obese. A good fitness instructor can do these measurements for you. Not sure where else you can have them done. But this is generally the rule.

yes, there is, when 40% of your body weight is fat cells. Then your overweight. People worry about body image, because of the media, they present young women with a body image that most can't become, because of skeletal structure. they couldn't be that skinny if they wanted to. most young girls don't realized that model photos are re-touched, all the zits and fat thighs are erased with computers!

If it starts to impede your mobility, cause bad backs and other biomechanical injuries or adversely affect your health, then it is a problem.
