Who is on Canadian money besides Elizabeth II. She is the only person I can think of. And why is she on there? I really have no clue who else is on Canadian money.

Queen Elizabeth is on Canadian coins and money because Canada used to be a colony and part of the British empire.

The Dominion of Canada became a country in 1867, but it was only as of the Canada Act in 1982 did we "formally" end legislative control by the British.

However, we still honour our heritage by placing the Queen on one side of the money, and Canada's former Prime Ministers or local fauna on the other side.

Canada has the following currency:

1c (penny) - A maple leaf
5c (nickel) - A beaver
10c (dime) - A schooner (saling ship)
25c (quarter) - An elk
$1 coin - called a "loonie" because of the loon on it
$2 coin - nicknamed a "two-nie" - A polar bear
$5 - Wilfred Laurier (blue paper)
$10 - John A MacDonald (purple paper)
$20 - Haida carving by Bill Reid (green paper)
$50 - William Mackenzie King (red paper)
$100 - Robert Borden (brown paper)

There have been other bills, but this is what is pretty much in circulation today.
