If all you want to do is lose weight, do tons of Cardio. Running is great. Mark off a 1-mile path and run that. If you can't run the whole way, run as much as possible, walk for a few seconds, then keep running.

Actually, nutrition is the most important component of fat loss (more than weightlifting & cardio put together).

Although cardio burns some calories, weightlifting is more effective for a few reasons:

Running a mile at your weight burns only about 100 calories. That is less than 1 tablespoon of oil. The key to exercise is to boost the metabolism.

Weightlifting increases your lean mass and will burn extra calories 24 hours per day because more muscle needs more energy just to exist. Too much cardio will decrease your lean mass and have the exact opposite effect.

This is why a pear shaped person who does nothing but cardio will end up looking like a smaller pear.

Here are some links to a workout that changes weekly and some useful info on fat loss.

Honestly, you have to be disciplined to stay focused on your goal - to lose weight by June. It is possible but it is a lot of work, depending on how many lbs you're trying to lose. I suggest to cut down on eating a lot of junk food and sweets. If you can't, atleast give yourself just one day out of M-S to eat the bad stuff. Working out hardcore and eating unhealthy is just not a good combo. You're actually offsetting each other and as a result, you aren't losing anything. Diet and exercise goes hand in hand. As for the exercise program, you should do a lot of cardio - run for 30 mins in the morning (2-3 miles). You should do this w/ an empty stomach, you burn a lot of fat that way. Then after your work out, have a healthy breakfast ie: protein, fiber, (egg whites, whole bread etc). You should be eating something (small portion) every 2 hours ie: at 10/11 a.m. have an apple. If you don't eat anything at all, you're going to start craving for food (bad food) and you end up eating a lot (excess food gets stored as fat). So much for the work out. In the afternoon, you should do some free weights, push ups, ab curls (15-10 mins). Alternate it with some stretch - get one of those yoga tapes. It can tone you done pretty good. I hope this helps! Good luck! :)
