Is your female AKC registered? If so, you might want to check her papers, she might have a limited registration, which means, if she breeds, they cannot be registered and you can't sell them for a good price.
Please, if you are not sure about breeding, leave it up to the registered breeders. There are to many backyard breeders now and all they do is hurt the breed, so if you respect the breed, dont do it..

It all depends on the breeder. When buying the dog ask the breeder to see the shot records and vet records of the mother and father. Many people don't ask to see these papers, and breeders get away with not keeping the shots up to date, which is very important for the immune system of the puppy. not having regular vet checks on the parents should warn you that they are not breeding to IMPROVE the breed, they are in it for the money.
check the teeth, eyes, and AKC/CKC standards for this breed. Do not agree to buy until your trusted vet has examined the puppy and know the breeds genetic defects.
Also ask to see what vitamins were given to the mother and if they added more calcium to the mother's diet. good luck!

First of all you need to look in your newspaper for stud service. Some times you can read about puppies and call the breeder and ask them if they will be willing to stud out their male or get the person name that they used. Make sure they are in good standing with AKC and up to date with all its shots. My Stud service came from word and mouth. You can put in the papers you are looking for a stud for your female too. Make sure you have a contract that is agreeable to you and the stud owner. Your female needs to be 2 years old and the male at least a year old.

You buy breeding stock, or stud service from another breeder. Breeding stock will be more expencive, as it is buying a worthy dog, so expect to pay 800-1,400. Stud service is about 200-300 dollars. I really don't suggest breeding if you're not a professional. They're are way too many homeless pets. If you're breeding just to expand your pets, think adoption. Also, if you breed dogs without offering papers, you'll make little to no money. Be responsable in your choices.

How about researching on the internet? It is possible a breeder might be close by that you could drive your dog to.
