So i was wondering is there a way to remove Spyware without having to go to the shop or reformatting my hard drive or downloading things, once i found out i had it, quickly did a System restore then i deleted my old account and created a new one but i'm unsure if it worked?

you will need to download unless you want to manually edit/delete files and mess with your registry (BAD idea)
sypbot and adaware are both good and free....not very big files to download either

http://www.filehippo.com/download_ad-aware/?142

and a new user account on your pc will not fix anything

oh...and doing a system restore after you found out you had it...also a bad idea, you just backed up your spyware lol

1.you need to set system restore to 0% of your hard drive to delete the old, corrupt restore points
2.turn system restore off then
3. install those 2 programs, update them
4. boot in safe mode (usually by hitting either F5 or F8 repeatedly when you boot the pc) and scan your pc with ad-aware and spybot
5. delete the spyware
6. reboot the pc normally
7. turn system restore back on if you want (I find it a useless waste of space)

a restore will only revert certain windows applications and configurations back to a certain date, which would be when you set a checkpoint. a restore will not be able to detect a spyware file and delete it from your system. it most definately will not have solved the problem.
unfortunately, it is highly reccomended you download spybot search and destroy or another highly reputable software utility for such task.
if you really are adamant on not downloading, the manual route would be to detect each file and/or string which will be located in your system registry. this will take a long time finding which files/strings are spyware and more often than not, they will do everything they can to prevent you manually deleting a file. if you know of the file or string which is in your computer and you know where to find it, by all means attempt to delete it but at your own risk. a little tip however, if u find a file that won't delete and it is definately spyware, just rename the file and then try deleting it. like i said though, don't try it manually as even the most cautious net user gets too many spyware to find and delete each file/string necessary. i hope this helps.

Just get Adaware and Spybot, they are both free and necessary to download. There is no other way to remove spyware.
