I will be installing Linux on one of my machines next week and I'm wondering if you can still be able to download .exe files? Can you still use programs that are for windows like java, windows media, mpegs, etc?

.exe files compiled under windows will not run. All others can be viewed as long as they have not been compiled.

There is a linux progam called WINE that allows you to use windows programs on linux..

It is possible..
