it also means learning to be sharing, thoughtful, and helpful with those around you first. then you'll be able to be charitable outside...
examples of sharing--your room, your clothes, your pen, etc.
examples of thoughtfulness--remembering each other's needs and wants before your own, clearing your things, etc.
examples of helpfulness--helping with chores/housework, do favors obligingly, offer to buy groceries, etc.

Charity begins at home means that if you want something try to get it at home first.Ask at home before going to some one else. Money, clothing, homework help. I can't write the essay. But here are some ideas.
