Does anyone have a quick and simple recipe for any kind of cake? I don't want any recipe's that are found online, I just want the home made version of any kind of cake that is simple and that doesn't have that many ingredients in it.

If you don't have a recipe for a cake, a pie recipe is also good.

I'd prefer home made cakes or pies and not the recipe's online.

Yes, my 911 cake~let me get the recipe...be right back!
We call it 911 cake since we always keep pie filling, fruit and cake mix in the pantry! It is a big hit with drop-in guests! Only THREE ingredients and easy to make!
Here it is:
Ingredients
2 (20.00 ounces) cans pie filling
1 box cake mix, unprepared
3/4 cup Butter, melted
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Dump cherry pie filling into 13 x 9 inch cake pan.
3. Spread out evenly in pan.
4. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over filling.
5. Drizzle butter over top.
6. Bake for 1 hour.
7. Serve in pan.
You can use what ever type of pie filling you like~strawberry, blueberry, cherry, peach, etc. or you can use canned pineapples.
~~~I like strawberry with white cake mix~~~
~~~My mother uses cherry with chocolate cake mix~~~

Three Minute Chocolate Cake
1/4 cup flour ( you can also use ground almonds)
1T Cocoa powder
1/4 t baking powder
3 Tbsp sugar
2T melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1T cream (or milk, water, davinci syrup)
1 egg
In a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup, mix all the dry ingredients. Mix the wet with the egg ~ add to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap ... make small slit in wrap, with a knife to vent. Microwave on high for about 1 minute, 10 sec. Adjust as needed for your micro. When it comes out it looks a bit wet, but drys as it cools. ( for individual servings fits into 2 ramekins)
oven option- grease ramekins bake at 375 for 25-20 min
You can eat warm like a custard with whipped cream ( I added a few diced strawberries) or let it cool completely and frost with icing of your choice.

O.K. Upside down cake- start with fruit-strawberries or blackberries or peaches or pineapple or blueberries. Put in a stick of butter and melt slowly in the pan(9x13inch) add fruit with some liquid(cooked is better). then separately Mix 1 cup flour-1 cup of sugar-1 cup of milk and 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. pour over fruit and -stir swirling around. If you want a cobbler leave out the egg and the vanilla.

Here's one for you:
Angel Food Cake (the premade kind found in the bakery)
1 Pkg of Vanilla Pudding
1 8oz tup of cool whip
1 can of crushed pineapple
Strawberries for garnishing
Take the Angel Food Cake (bundt style) and slice it in half (or 3's if you want a more dramatic cake)
Mix the pudding (dry mix only - do not make the pudding), the cool whip, and the entire can of crushed pineapple (do not drain) in a bowl to make filling.
Layer the cake, then filling, cake, then filling..... garnish with sliced strawberries on top. Put in refrigerator. Serve cold. Keep in refrigerator after serving - due to the coolwhip.
Yummy -- and great for a summer get together too.
