If you had radiation to the upper abdomen, it should have little effect on your fertility, but the best person to ask is your radiation oncologist, who knows exactly what radiation dose you received, and where. As long as it's away from the pelvis (especially the ovaries, which are the most sensitive to radiation), then your treatment shouldn't affect your fertility.

The previous responder gave great advice, especially since he is a radiation oncologist. In addition to his statements, Jefferson Labs states these radiation dosages can cause the following effects:

125 to 200 rad to the ovaries can result in prolonged or permanent suppression of menstruation in about fifty percent (50%) of women.

600 rad to the ovaries or testicles can result in permanent sterilization.

Make sure to talk with your radiation oncologist to see what dose of radiation you received, and more importantly, what area was radiated. If you still have questions, a good infertility specialist should be able to ascertain the viability of your eggs. Good luck.

Ask the doctor my thoughts are probably not because I think you have to be on Tamoxifen or some other sort of hormone blocker for at least 5 years which would preclude getting pregnant.
