i would like to move to American Samoa,i make 1000.00 a month?

if i live like the locals is this enough to live on?this is my dissability pension i get as a dissabled vet.is it a nice place,are the people kind.i need a place to settle down and it will my last.thanks a bunch

The people in Samoa are very nice. A beautriful Island. Very expensive place to live. Not much in the way of employmemnt. $1,000. a month is definitely NOT going to be enough to get by on. Don't even think about it. Samoa is NOT one of those cheap overseas places to live that you hear about. $1,000 a month? Think about someplace like Mexico, Panama, Thailand. Forget about the Pacific Islands. To live there you need about $3,000 monthly just to be ok.
