McDonalds used to make a McRib sandwich in the 1990s, and a Chopped Beefsteak in the late 70s, early 80s, do you remember these? Which was your favorite? What is the closest substitute available in restaurants today?

The McRib..they come back here every winter also..
As far as a restaurant..Have never found one with anything like it..
But, I have purchased those family entree's that have the ribs in it..Once it gets hot enough I pour out the bbq sauce..As it's not very good..Add some bulls eye..Get some hoagie buns and slice some onion..Very simular taste..Just more trouble than going to the window drive-thru..lol..

I'd go for the McRib anyday over the beefstake.

I don't remember the chopped beefsteak, but I ADORE the McRib (available right now in my area!). Extra pickles, hold the onions, please!

never tried both and didn't know they existed too... but both sounds nice... i like the ribs from Cafe Cartel or Changing Appetites. Beefsteak would be Jack's Place, but it's not chopped... hmm... :)
