Gently put eggs in the bottom of a large pot. Add enough warm water just to cover the eggs. Turn on heat and bring water to a boil, then immediately turn off heat. (Boiling the eggs will make them rubbery.) Let eggs sit in the water until done: soft-boiled eggs 2 to 4 minutes; hard-boiled eggs 15 to 18 minutes. Drain and let them cool completely.

If the egg is hard, the moisture will completely dry off. Immediately run cold water till cooled. This pulls egg from membrane and will always be able to peel easily!

To make perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs with no green around the yolk:

Place your desired number of eggs in a pot. Cover with water to about 1 inch above the eggs. Bring water to a boil. As soon as it comes to the boil, immediately remove the pot from the heat, put on a tight fitting lid, and set your timer for 10 minutes. Don't disturb them, peek at them, shake the pot, etc.

Perfect eggs every time!

I usually boil the eggs in a pan of water that is lightly salted , for 15 to 20 mins ...That is all the time you need for 12-24 eggs. Then pour the water off the eggs and fill the pan back up with cold water and let them set for a while. The shells usually peel off nicely when you are ready to eat them.

5minutes after the water comes to a full boil. Then turn off and let stand in hot water another 5 minutes. Drain off hot water and run cold water on them. The longer you let them boil, you will get the green on the yolk. This way the yolk will be done and no green.....
