I have never heard that what I have heard is Poppyseed muffins will test positive

Actually the drug tests (at least those in the court system) are very sensitive and even normal amounts of poppyseed consumption can test positive. Sesame seeds will not as they contain no opiates or other narcotic substances. Since the opiate in a poppy seed is the same as in illegal drugs, it is impossible to "prove" that a positive test was due to legal consumption of food rather than illegal drug use. It may be possible to have a drug test sent off of more extensive testing to see if the amount is so small that it wouldn't come from illegal drugs but this is fairly expensive. If you're in drug court or on probation or something, it's your responsibility to stay away from anything that may get you a positive test even if it is legal.

Of course, no. Sesame seeds comes from sesame, not poppies, so it can't be an opiate. And opium is made from poppies.
Maybe you mistook as a sesame seed muffin from a poppy seed muffin, which will definitely make you positive for opiates. So stay away for poppy seed pastries if you don't wanna get positive.

I dont think sesame seeds will do it.....but a poppyseed muffin or bagel will show positive results.

The poppy seeds did no longer do it. The opiates did it. Get off the medicine and you will stop popping beneficial. those discomfort killers being surpassed around illegally are additionally opiates (Vicodin, Hydrocodone, Codeine, Morphine and OxyContin).

You actually have to eat quite a large number in order for it to show up in your system. Stick to under 10 muffins a day and you'll be fine.
Half of the people in the world wouldn't have jobs if this happened!!!

poppyseed muffins might make you test positive, but I'm not too sure

No, only from poppyseed. If a urine test has come up positive, have a hair test done. It is a much more accurate test and will not show the 'false positive' from the poppyseed.

I think it is poppy seed and yes only if you eat a lot of seeds. My sister;s roomate's father had that happen. It was a low dose and explained.

NO!!! And you won't test positive with poppy seeds either, the seeds used for culinary purposes are not the same type of poppy.
