I once attended an A. M. E. service to see what they teach and I noticed that they recite the same Apostle's Creed that Roman Catholics and Anglicans believe. Is the A. M. E. Anglican? How many other churches believe our same Creed?

No.

Reason: They use the title "Episcopal" because they have people they call "Bishops" - but no true or Historic Episcopacy with Apostolic Succession.

They are Protestant - as the second letter "Methodist" indicates.

Although the true founders of Methodism (the Wesleys) remained Anglican Priests their whole lives - they and the Methodist denominations that followed turned their back on the Historic Episcopacy (Bishops in the Succession) as not being necessary.

They are not Anglicans. Take the world of a seventh-generation Anglican.

Gotta love that they recite the Creed though. That makes them Christians - but not necessarily Catholic or Anglican.

If the creed is the same then they must be the same.

Catholic.
