I just recently bought a used 1991 Stanza. There is a switch located on the center console, inbetween the parking brake and the cup holder/coin collector. I can't find a manual or a website that has parts on it. I'm curious as to what the function of this button is.

I had a stanza as a first car and I can tell you that th etoggle switch by the e-brake changes the transmission from sport to comfort.

In sport the trans will shift harder and downshift into higher rpm's.

In comfort mode you will enjoy a granny like transmission, slow to respond and lacking in take off

this switch more than likely controls the transmission shift rpm, one way it will shift at lower rpm to save gas, the other it will rev higher for faster acceleration.
