I quite agree. I also argue that being born through the mothers womb is an animal act for mammals. God only needs to create. And if he is God, then he needs not be born - he can just descend from the heavens (not my own belief)
But if he is the Son of God, different from his Father, not only does that make Christianty polytheistic, but it also makes Mary, God's wife. Now, why would God choose a human for the mother of a God who is not only himself, but also his Son. Confusing! I totally agree with you.

Firstly, If humans are faced with an undeniable god, the typical reactions is most likely to range from fleeing in terror, being overwhelmed and fainting or worship. It's far easier for humans to relate to another human, rather than the ultimate being.
Secondarily, Jesus came to demonstrate that a human could lead an utterly sinless life, he also demonstrated what the relationship of a human should be to God. Jesus taught by example, the pharisees were condemned for their hypocrisy, telling others how to live while not following their own teaching.
Thirdly, and most importantly, Jesus came to pay the death penalty on humanity's behalf. Divine justice demanded the purest, most valuable sacrifice possible, a sinless human. Only Jesus was sinless, no other human has or would have ever lived a sinless life.
The ongoing source of the human spirit is unclear in the Bible, however the source of Jesus' spirit is clearly stated in the Bible (John 1v1-18).

Christianism is not the only religion that makes frontiers between God(s) and humans vague at some points. As if there was a need to make a link between the realm of God which we don't see and the world of humans (where we obviously live).
It is strange to remark that most religions do see the universe as God's masterpiece, but then suddenly need to see with their eyes what their heart can't see.
Examples of this confusing frontiers throughout history include: Achille who's mother was believed to be a Goddess, Pharaohs (half gods, used to take their fortunes with them in their tombs for a better life in the hereafter, but it doesn't work apparently), Hindous today (or derivative sects) believe in living gods (a human being who proclaims himself to be divine), Sikhs (God is in everyone one of us) and Judaism at a certain point where SOME were saying that Uzayr was the son of God.
According to the priest-convert-to-Islam Yusuf Estes, the word "trinity" did not appear in the Bible but 2 centuries after Jesus Christ death. The word "Trinity" appears though in the ONLY version of the Koran to condemn it and say that God is unique
and there is no other form of divinity anywhere else. For the
sake of knowledge, like Christians believe in the old testament, Muslims believe in the bible and all the prophets (from Adam to Jesus, then Muhammad): none of these
prophets have any attribute of divinity, they are all 100% human beings. So the raised issue is not a case in Islam, which is so far the only religion I could find that distinguishes between the realm of God and his creation, the universe we can see.
I actually believe that all religions have the same root, diversions appear with time. The least we can say is that sooner or later a human being seeks his own origin and knows there is a Truth.

What Jesus is, is called, Hypostatic Union. A lot has been written about it. Fully God and Fully Human. But not sinful human. in answer to the Mary question. Jesus had to be born as a human, into a family, with a human body. That way he could fulfill prophacy. Once againl, these questions have been answered by many great men.

Our material bodies are born from humans, but inside our material body is our spirit which is part of god. Spiritually Jesus is son of God in the same way we are all children of God.

Hello....SON of God. He had to be a man.
and there is only one God, not "Gods". Jesus's oul came of God the Father, and His body came of 23 chromosomes added onto Mary's 23 by the Holy Spirit (without a sperm).
God creates souls, which are like Him, and Spirits come of Him as well. But a spirit is on loan, as you lose it once you die. a soul is a gift, not a loan.
Jesus was born of the Spirit, of the Father, and of humanity. So He's the Son of God, lead by the Holy Spirit, and the Son of man (the Son, among men). We're jojnt heir with Him if we're saved....

Jesus was the firstborn of all creation. He is not God he is Gods son. He was made human to die for our sins. When Adam was created he was a perfect human and not supposed die...he lost that perfection when he CHOSE ( was not tricked or made a mistake) to go against the only rule God had given ' Do not eat the fruit of the tree of good and evil.' When something is taken...in order to get it back you need to pay a price or ransom of equal value to get it back. There had to be another perfect man born who could give his life in place of the life that Adam had lost. Jesus was the one who chose to become that perfect man.He could not be born a god or half god because that wouldn't have been an equal payment.Jesus was a helper to God in the creation of men and he had a love for mankind just as his father did. That is why he wanted to go through what he did for us.

Jesus cannot be a mediator of the new covenant and a redeemer unless he is also a man. Jesus was sent not only to redeem us but also to be a model for humanity. He was sinless although he could have committed a sin because of his human nature.
Peace and every blessing!

First, Jesus is one of the trinity. God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God granted us his gift...his only son to come and take our sins but he had to live life as a man in order for this to come to pass. God made Mary pregnant via the Holy Spirit thus enabling Jesus to live as man. It is that simple. Why make it more complicated than it is? Jesus then lived out his life until he was crucified. He died for our sins so we could live a new life.
Secondly, we all are spirit forms but not equal of God. We never will be his equal. We have to strive for it but that is all we can do.

God planned for Jesus to come to the world. Since He is the spirit, He needed human form to come to the earth to spread His word and save the sins of the world. Jesus is the human form of God. The bible says "I and the Father are One".
