Hear me out on this. I don't want any biblical passages I want what you really think.
Few years back I had a crush on a girl I'll call Samantha. Never did anything about it, but had a family vacation, thought to myself, it'd be cool to see her there. Well my cousin had brought a friend along named Samantha. Then I transfered schools, thought, it would be cool if the girl I have a crush on transfered to the same school. Well she didn't but, met a new girl, Samantha, had a crush on her for quite some time. Started looking for a job, thought to myself, it would be cool if I get a job and wind up working with her, or if she were to come in sometime. Well I've gotten a job and I work with a Samantha, not the same person. Just coincidence, or just a cruel joke from a supposed non cruel God.
Because, No god is as Cruel as God Himself. And I'm starting to believe that.

To make it clearer, essentially every time I thought to myself, dreamt about meeting Samantha somewhere I did. But It wasnt the same Samantha, it was a different person.

Too much time on my hands? That came to me in a matter of seconds, it hit me like a ton of bricks, to use a quite common analogy. And I highly doubt God "loves me" sure has an odd way of showing it.

How can you have a conversation with someone who won't talk back? It isn't possible.

What does this have to do with God? All I saw was a whole bunch of I thought it would be cools. I have a Samantha as a neighbor. I worked with one too. God doesn't control everyone's names. I didn't once see that you had a conversation with God about the whole subject. And if you did, obviously the answer was no. Sometimes parents say that to their children. But since you mention no conversation with Him, how do you blame Him?

From what you've said, you do believe in God, and that's a good thing.
But don't blame God for the Samantha thing. Just as sure as there is a God, there is the opposite spirit, as malevolent as God is loving. Don't underestimate the power of the spirit that opposes any and every thing that God is. Because it is real, followers of Christ know the power of prayer and obedience to God strengthens them to discern his tricks and thwart his victory over us.
However, by allowing yourself to focus so intensely on "a Samantha" hardly allows you to use your other capacities of reason to provide balance. As a being with free will, many times we are our own worst enemy. God created our mind to be the conduit by which our lives are transformed. Out of balance thinking results in an out of balance life.
Check your thinking. Think on those things that are positive and full of creative potential. Don't get sidetracked like this. When you are stewing over something like this, you are one less actively engaged person who can make a difference in the world.

Samantha is a common name. I used to crush on a guy named John. I run into and meet men named John quite often. It's just that there are lots of men named John in this world. It is not God being cruel. It's life.

No, God is not cruel. Did you watch the new movie THE SECRET? Maybe you are just manifesting "samantha" being in your life, but you weren't specific as to which one?? Or its kinda like when you are pregnant, you feel like the whole world is pregnant....like the car you drive, you notice everyone else with the same car...you happen to be hyper-aware of Samanthas in your life.

First of all, how is He cruel? u only had a crush on her, its not like u were in love or anything. Maybe He's giving u signs that you will meet her again. Secondly, there is only one God Almighty and he is a just God. Who r we to question Him. He does things for a reason 2 open our eyes to realize things. So just cuz ur feelin a little blue over some girl, how does it make Him cruel? there, u got an honest opinion. no im srry...fact.

Next time you have a crush on a girl named "Samantha", tell her about it, and quit blaming God because of your own shyness.
That's the best advice you're gonna get tonight.
