get her a pretty, sterling silver necklace and/or ring.
girls love jewelry, especially from their men.
it symbolizes 'love' or liking, and a good relationship=]

If you both are 13 and only been going out for one week, in additional to lives 4 hours away: I do not believe this relationship is going to last.
Be a nice guy and send her a pretty Birthday card with sweet and nice words on it (poem would even be better is you know how to write one).
Save your $50 for later for a relationship that is more established. (i.e. more than 6-8 month long or longer and girl that live with in short drive distance).

Why don't you send her flowers? It will probably be the first time a boy has sent her flowers and that is something she will always remember. They don't need to be roses, tulips are really nice this time of year and come in lots of colors. If you do get roses, try some in a special color like yellow, purple or peach, or a mix. And let me tell you, I'm 25 and I still remember the first guy to send me flowers! His name was Matt and we were in the 8th grade!

That relies upon entirely on the female. ladies are not robots, you comprehend. If it have been me, i might like: a million. Books - Russian literature, translation concept or some social theorist that i don't already own. 2. video games for Wii. 3. some thing that i prefer, like a clean digicam or a kitchen ingredient that i'm lacking. presents like rings, flora, fragrance are so wide-unfold that they grow to be thoughtless.

Just give her the 50.00. LOL...
Seriously- that's a lot of money for a week of dating and living 4 hours away- at your age.
I'll bet that 50.00 she won't be your girl in a month.
But, you could get her a gift certificate for a store she likes.

Personally my favorite thing to get is roses. Even one is perfect. You don't have to spend a lot just make sure it means something. Try to do something rememberable like... write a poem or song or something original. If your not very artistic or talented at writing, which I'm not, try a stuffed animal. That usually goes over well.

I think you should send a nice bouquet of flowers to her at school. She will be thrilled and her friends will be so jealous. Just say something nice on the card like: Thinking of you on your birthday! Joe. Be sure you don't include the word "love" or her parents will go insane!

I'm 14 and what I love lots as a present is makeup, clothes, handbags or jewelery. Your best option would either be a handbag or jewelery. Maybe a tote and a pair of hoops?
